We believe small, consistent actions are the foundation of every meaningful life change.
Dail was born in Tokyo in 2024 when our founder Kenji couldn't find a habit tracker that was both scientifically grounded and genuinely pleasant to use every day. Every app was either too complex or too shallow.
So he built one. Simple enough that checking in takes 10 seconds. Meaningful enough that the data actually changes how you behave. Over the next year, a small team of designers, behavioural scientists, and engineers joined to build what Dail is today.
We're based in Meguro, Tokyo โ a neighbourhood known for its quiet riverside walks and independent coffee shops. It's the kind of place that makes you want to build better daily routines.
Six principles that guide everything we build at Dail.
Every feature earns its place. We remove friction relentlessly so tracking feels effortless.
Our features are grounded in behavioural psychology and habit formation research, not trends.
People are not machines. We design for real life โ with setbacks, busy days, and imperfection.
Your habit data is yours. We never sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
Habits matter everywhere. Dail works in any language and on any budget โ including free.
We ship updates every week based on user feedback. We're always getting better โ just like habits.
A small, passionate team dedicated to making habit building accessible to everyone.

"Our mission is to make consistent, intentional daily action accessible to every person on earth." โ Kenji Tanaka, Founder of Dail
